Man City v Aston Villa extended highlights – City keep the pressure on Spurs

Man City took a big step towards winning Champions League football next season by coming back from a goal down to defeat their direct rivals for fouth place, Aston Villa.

John Carew put Villa ahead after just 16 minutes, and were playing well until a mad two minutes just before half-time when they conceded twice.

An unlucky penalty gave Tevez the chance to equalise from the spot, and then Adebayor was given an easy goal just seconds after Villa had nearly taken another lead. Watch out for Johnson’s great play to set up the ex-Arsenal striker.

Bellamy made it 3-1 in the last minute to set up a showdown with Tottenham in midweek. Spurs hold a one-point advantage, but have to secure at least a point at the Eastlands to put themselves in the driving seat for Champions League football next season.
