Former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri believes that United will be the one to win the Premier League title and not his former club. He thinks that Chelsea will miss out on the title even if they manage to beat United in the game at Old Trafford this weekend.
If Carlo Ancelotti’s manages to beat Sir Alex Ferguson’s team this weekend then Chelsea will go top of the league on goal difference. But Ranieri thinks that Chelsea will drop points in their remaining two games.
Speaking to TalkSport Radio he said: “Chelsea have to win but it’s not easy because Manchester United are in a good moment. They are very strong physically and psychologically”.
He continued: “Also if Chelsea will win, after they will have two difficult matches against Newcastle and Everton. Manchester United are against Blackburn and Blackpool”.
But Ranieri is still supporting his countryman to manage Chelsea next season. He said: “Carlo is working very well. Last season he won the Double and he also has the opportunity to win the title. He’s working very well”.
Ancelotti’s future at Stamford Bridge is in doubt, even if he manages Chelsea to another Premier League title as owner Roman Abramovich is thought to favour bringing in Guus Hiddink as the new coach.
