Villas-Boas aiming for a "dishonourable" Fourth Place

The new Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has admitted defeat in the title race completely after this weekends “worst performance” against Everton, and he knows that the best the club can hope for now is Fourth Place to qualify for the Champions League next season.

But the Portugese coach is still hopeful that Chelsea can challenge in the two Cup competitions that are left on the table. He said: “When we set up with this team, we believed the team was ready for four trophies,”

“Now we have a Champions League objective. We still play for two prestigious trophies.

“We have two competitions where we look better, and another competition where we have to dilute the damage and try to finish fourth, at least, which is not a very honourable position for the dimension of this club.”

With matches in both Cup competitions looming very quickly, AVB needs to get things back on an even keel very quickly..

Who else do you expect to take his reign! Its never easy dealing with the challenges of transformation especially with a team who are too stuck in their ways! He deserves time! But a below top 4 finish is totally unacceptable
