Villas-Boas – We will decide on transfer targets after the pre-season tour
The new Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has decided to review the Chelsea squad before deciding who he needs to buy in the transfer market.
“We need to get the most information possible during the tour.” he said. “By the time we go to the market, we will know the kind of players we want. Hopefully we can do the deal that we want.
“I will use all 26 of my players in the tour and we will make a decision once the tour is over.
“There is plenty of talent in this squad. I believe the players can still find new things in them to exploit and I want to fulfil the potential of their talent.”
Villas-Boas is obviously a top analyst. I just hope he makes the right decisions. Don’t bother with Modric, just buy Javier Pastore instead and bring Daniel Sturridge into the first team….

But it is non-negotiable, we must buy. I understand your lack of complete knowledge about the squad which you want to address before taking a decision.
That squad looks very good but we have seen that it has a whole lot of shortcomings that must be addressed to bring the glory days back.
WE MUST BUY. defensive and attacking midfield. I also think we should let go of some to create room for in-comers so the wage bill is within acceptable range.
if 2nd position is a failure then, mikel, ferreira, bosingwa, anelka, kalou are fringe players for a squad with the ambition at stamford bridge
