Will Drogba Extend His Stay at Chelsea?
Didier Drogba managed to show his class once again, and furthermore, he managed to show that despite his advanced age, he’s still the main man at Chelsea.
The Ivorian striker was the main reason for which The Blues had a chance to win the trophy in the first place, and in the final he scored again to confirm his incredible world class skill. Despite all this, his contract with The Blues might still be his last one, and when asked whether the penalty-kick was his last shot at Chelsea, Drogba replied:
“It was the last kick of the season.
“You do not make decisions in emotional moments like this.”
“I don’t talk about the future,” he added. “The most important thing is what we achieved tonight.”
Club Chairman Bruce Buck praised the striker earlier this month , and spoke about his possible future with the club saying:
“Didier is a big match player and he did it once again,” he told Sky Sports. “He’s a good guy and a great player.
“Ron Gourlay (Chelsea chief executive) is going to sit down with his agent this week and we’ll see where it goes.
“I think we have to do what’s best for Chelsea Football Club and Didier has to do what’s best for him.
“And we’ll just see how the discussions go.”
The truth is that despite Torres’ enormous transfer fee and Sturridge and Kalou’s form, Drogba has been the main man in front of goal at Chelsea for a few good years now, and he showed us that he still has a lot of fight in him. Do you think he should stay?

I personaly think dat Di matteo should stay 4 next season he’s a GU̶̲̥̅̊D manager dat has passion for d club, he wants t̶̲̥̅̊☺ transform chelsea, i fink ðξγ̲ should give him d chance t̶̲̥̅̊☺ do so i know dat ωε will go and fight for more cups next seson
i think drogba should be given a year contrast that will be my veiw as a chelsea fan which need the development of the club…
drogba must be given his 2 year contract after his recent performances and dimatteo should get at least a full season to have a shot at the premiership , will be gutted if he isnt given the job unless we get morinho or gaurdiola , fingers crossed we get eden hazard 2 🙂 as an extatic chelsea fan im geting used to getting what i want , hope the trend continues !! up blues , kings of europe !
Drogba need more 2 years contract and Di matteo deserve more year and long time deal…..
