Barcelona ridiculously short priced to beat Chelsea! Think again!

It seems that the home leg win against Catalan side Barcelona didn’t bring Chelsea too much empathy from the bookies which still seem to think that the Blues will be crushed by the Spaniards on aggregate.

Drogba managed to put the ball in the back of the net net in a very difficult home leg for Chelsea, after which many criticized the Blues for playing an extremely defensive game and only getting a narrow 1-0 win.

The story is a bit overrated if we were to think that they didn’t go against a Championship team like Leicester, but against a team which has been heralded as the best in the world in the last few years, but that still didn’t impress the bookies. If you look at the US online sports betting you will see that the bookies offer Chelsea at a massive 10/1 odds to win at Camp Nou, while the Catalans have a 1.25 odd of winning.

Chelsea don’t look too likely to score either as the bookies are offering them a 1.73 odd of scoring, while Barcelona has a basically inexistent odd of 1.02. The biggest reality check for Di Matteo’s side is the fact that they are not even favorites to qualify, having taken a first leg advantage. Barcelona are offered a 1.4 odd of going through while the Blues have a 2.7 odd.

The return leg will surely prove to be a real challenge for the Blues, and they mustn’t go there to defend the 1-0 lead because we all saw how many dangerous opportunities Barcelona’s pressure can create. But Chelsea will be in confident mood of keeping a clean sheet in their last two games.

Are Chelsea ridiculously overpriced at 10/1 to win the game?
