The latest transfer news regarding Chelsea is in todays News of the World, and they say that the Blues are leading the chase for a giant 16 year-old striker, currently playing in the first team with Anderlecht in Begium.
Romelu Lukaku is 6’3″ and has made a massive impression for someone of his age. He has already scored 6 goals in 11 games in his first season in the first team at the Belgian giants as they have moved to the top of the table, and is regarded as one of top youngsters playing in Europe. Four of those goals have come in the last four games.
His father was also a professional in Belgium so he comes from good stock and has already played for the national team at U21 level. Last year in the youth team he averaged more than a goal a game.
He will be a brilliant buy for any top European club, but Chelsea are said to be leading the race according to the News of the World, but The Sun and the Daily Mail report that Tony Adams has been watching him for Arsenal.
