Chelsea move on to the Portugese "Luka Modric"
Chelsea have put in a lot of effort trying to sign either Udinese’s Alexis Sanchez or Santos’ Neymar, but as they they seem to have failed to secure either player it is being reported that Ander Villa-Boas will instead opt for Porto’s Moutinho.
Chelsea are facing stiff competition for Sanchez and Neymar. Neymar is thought to favour joining Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid while Sanchez is hoping to join Barcelona. According to FootyBunker Moutinho would be a target for Villas-Boas if Chelsea miss out on the two other players.
Villas-Boas has a good relationship with 24-year-old and would be happy for the playmaker to follow him to Stamford Bridge. Villas-Boas has likened him to Luka Modric whom Chelsea are also thought to be interested in, however Tottenham are unwilling to sell the player and a transfer of the Croation looks unlikely.
Moutinho has been at Porto since 2010 after starting youth career at Sporting CP. He has played 26 games for the side and helped them win the Portuguese title and the UEFA Europa League. He has played 33 games for Portugal since first appearing for his country in 2005.
