Chelsea to face Atletico Madrid and Porto in Champions League

Chelsea have arguably drawn the short straw of the English sides in the Champions League Group stages draw made this afternoon. The Blues were strongly linked with a move for Sergio Aguero all summer, but now it seems that the Argentinian will be at Stamford Bridge after all, but as an opponent. He will line up alongside the prolific ex-Man Utd attacker Diego Forlan and the pairing could cause chelsea problems when they are on form.

Porto are an old enemy of Chelsea, as well as being Jose Mourinho’s old club. We always seem to draw them in the Group Stages and they have given us many problems in the past, and they contributed to the dismissal of Mourinho two years ago.

The final opponents are Appoel Nicosia, and although Cyprus is a tiny holiday island, there is no such thing as an easy game at this level!

But look on the bright side, at least we didn’t draw Inter Milan or Real Madrid!
