Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has given the greatest indication so far on whether Diego Costa will play against Leicester City on Wednesday or not. Speaking to the press few hours ago, the Portugese was quoted as saying;
“If it was a player without an injury history I would play him, but because he’s a player with a history I have to think about that,” Mourinho said.
“We need five or six points. If we can get one or three on Wednesday it would be very good for us, but after Leicester we have still four matches to play. We have to decide.”
Diego Costa has been out of action for more than three weeks due to his normal hamstring injury. He was initally rumoured to play against Arsenal yesterday but was not even on the bench against the gunners. In my opinion, I think Chelsea do not need the Spaniard for the reamining games. I personally think it is best to allow him to heal proper instead of rushing him back into action.
Who Chelsea desperately need right now is Loic Remy. With Chelsea only need to win two games out of five, Remy is good enough to get us over the line.
