Man Utd moved back to the top of the Premiership with an outstanding demolition off Blackburn Rovers, and the return of the partnership of Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov paid off handsomely.
The Bulgarian striker had fird blanks for ten games in a row amid rumours that Alex Ferguson would be selling him this January, but after this performance Fergie would be mad to sell him.
“It was a fantastic achievement by Berbatov,” said Ferguson after the game. “It helped him to strike early because he hadn’t scored in 10 games.”
“Berbatov and Rooney were a good combination today – they interchanged brilliantly today. Wayne was fantastic,”
Don’t blink as the first goal comes straight after the kick-off!
