Australia v Ghana extended World Cup highlights

After being destroyed by Germany in their first game, Australia really needed to get something from this match to keep their hopes alive.

With Tim Cahill suspended, Brad Holman was brought in to beef up the midfield, and his selection was perfectly justified when he put the Socceroos 1-0 after just 11 minutes of the game.

But Ghana were not giving up and were doing most of the attacking, and it was just 10 minutes later that they got the breakthrough. Harry Kewell was sent off for stopping a certain goal with hs arm, and Asamoah Gyan made no mistake from the spot.

After that Australia did very well to hold on to hard-earned point in an exciting game.
