Denmark v Japan World Cup highlights

Japan only needed a draw to progress to the knockout rounds, but Denmark were favourites to go through despite needing all three points.

The Danes were hoping to use their height advantage against the Japanese but the smaller defenders had no problem dealing with a very lacklustre Denmark side and the Danes had very few chances on goal. The Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner was especially disappointing and was only given a measly 4 in the Sunratings. In his defence he has played all three games while struggling with a groin injury.

The only way the Danes could score was through a penalty, but you just have to see the first two free-kicks that gave Japan their 2-0 lead. Pure class!

Enjoy!
