Nigeria v South Korea World Cup highlights

Nigeria were expected to be one of the best African sides at the World Cup, but they went out of the competition last night with a whimper against South Korea.

Nigeria took an early lead, but South Korea were as resilient as ever and equalized before half-time with a well executed free kick.

Immediately after the break, Korea were given another free-kick from nearly exactly the same place, and with the same result. Chu-Young Park somehow managed to avoid everyone as the ball went straight into the net.

After that Everton’s Yukubu managed the miss of the tournament from just three yards out, but did convert a penalty later on to take the scores level at 2-2.

But his miss effectively put Nigeria out of the tournament because if it had gone in they would now be in the next round……
