USA v Algeria World Cup highlights

After their unlikely draw with England, the United States were favourites to progress to the second round along with the Brits, but they couldn’t have left it any later!

Lando Donovan finally put the ball in the back of the net in the last minute when they were staring elimination in the face, but instead now go through as Group Winners!

Donovan was understandably on a high after the game. “I’m shocked. I’m so proud of our guys. Unbelievable,”he said.

“Algeria were pushing and we had to take the fight to them. Clint made a good run in the middle, the ball fell to me …. time kind of stopped. You can’t miss from there.”

“I’ve been on a long journey these last four years. We believe man. We’re alive!”
